New Delhi: Just when the Indian test cricketer and pacer Sreesanth was getting used to of spending some tranquil time in his Jail cell in Delhi, a court here granted bail to him and 18 other people who were earlier arrested in the IPL Spot Fixing case.
Sreesanth had ironically refused to proceed on bail and has opted to stay in jail only stating that one, his 40 day fast was still not over, second, he has found some good friends in the inmates at the Delhi jail and lastly the temperature and climate has started to improve in Delhi and he is really liking it now.
Sources close to Sreesanth in the jail have advised that the cricketer feels that now, since he has become habitual of spending time in jail, transitioning back to the normal life would not be easy and if once he moves back to his normal life, acclimatizing with the Jail again, if required, would also be difficult.
Sreesanth has chosen to stay in the jail till the proceedings are on just to avoid the hassle of too many transitions; he says it’s just not worth it. He further says that he is also afraid of losing a couple of friends which he made during this time that he had spent here. Apparently some of his so called friends are about to complete their time and are due for a release shortly.
Sreesanth also has become very spiritual here and he agrees that once he is back home, the only spirits that he’ll be able to think about will all be alcoholic. He further stated that he wanted to utilize this time away from home to further enhance his skills in other jobs not related to cricket, and also in detoxifying his system both physically and mentally.
Sreesanth is also planning to open a small cricket academy, just for the inmates, so that the country can find some serious cricketers in criminals, usually it is the other way round, exclaims Sreesanth.
